Pendulum dowsing really does work, though no one is exactly sure how, it is speculated that the dowser senses curtain forces and unwittingly sends electrical impulses through their body and into their hands which imperceptibly drive the pendulum – a pendulum that you’ve bought or an object tied to the end of a piece of string. Operating your pendulumTo hold your pendulum grasp the cord between your thumb and finger with about six inches (15 cm) hanging down with the pendulum at the bottom. To program your pendulum you need to make it give you ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers, to do this you start by swinging it diagonally a few times and saying, ‘this is for yes’; then swing it diagonally in the opposite direction a few times saying, this is for ‘no’. Now check this out: state something that you know to be true, like your age and ask, ‘I am (your age), is this true?’ and see the pendulum respond with a ‘yes’. Try the same thing but lie about your age (or whatever you used) and see the pendulum respond, ‘no’. The pendulum works on your subconscious knowledge and can be used for a whole variety of purposes; finding lost items and people and pets, choosing a vacation destination or figuring out the cause of an allergic reaction. If you are trying to find the source of an allergy, work in a clockwise direction with the suspected culprits laid out in front of you. Dairy and wheat products are the most common. Put your finger on each item in turn while holding the pendulum in your other hand and ask, ‘is this bad for me?’ If you get a ‘no’ you may move on to the next one; if you get a ‘yes’ put that one aside but still check the rest in case there is more than one substance causing your allergic reaction.
