How to read your auraThe aura is a mostly invisible colourful glow that surrounds all creatures. Everyone has their own aura and everyone, with a little practice, should be able to see their own aura under certain conditions. The spiritual values of the different colours of the human aura may be of great interest to someone examining their own personality. All religious and mystical orders dealing in auras recognise the following colours with the following values: Black: Non-spiritual; the colour of negation or condemnation. Red: Crude life; elementary untamed spirit; passion. Green: Instinctive development; natural growth, animal life. Yellow: Mental expansion; spirit of enquiry, intellectuality. Blue: Spiritual growth and evolution. White: Spiritual realisation; serenity. Seeing your aura Being able to see your own aura is not as difficult as you may think; lots of people are able to see their auras with only a small amount of practice. It should be possible for anyone to train their natural psychic sensitivities to detect the spiritual development of those around them by examining their aureolic colours that surround them. Most people will not have an aura that is all one of the above colour but rather, like most personalities, a splicing of different colours with one main colour throughout. So one might have a mainly yellow aura showing them to be intellectual and wanting to expand their mind; with streaks of red, indicating a cruder need for passion and untamed spirit running through that person’s aura. There are no limits really, there could be any number of colours in there; but there should be a sense of one colour that overrides all. To see their own aura some people of the East use the red hot tip of a burning incense stick as a focal point to meditate upon; as these are readily available pretty much anywhere now, we may as well stick with the tried and tested and decide on a pleasant aroma of your own choosing. It doesn’t matter too much where you sit but we may as well stick with tradition and be seated on the floor; cross-legged if you can or however you feel more comfortable, perhaps on a cushion. This will work better if the room you are in is completely dark, so the only illumination is the burning end of the incense stick. You should stare at the glowing end in the darkness for two minutes then close your eyes; the image should appear to be floating in front of you in the dark, it will drift upwards and fade. Once the image has faded, open your eyes again and repeat the process; staring at the burning ember for two minutes then closing your eyes. After only a few repeats the image should be brighter with your eyes closed and will take longer to fade; eventually you will be able to hold the image so that it doesn’t move at all and stays as bright as its real counterpart. Still with your eyes closed, will the image to stay straight in front of you and observe the colours that the glowing end draws towards itself. They reproduce the colours of your own aura. The more carefully you observe them the brighter they become, pretty soon a separation will begin to take place. Some colours will be much more prominent while others slip into the background; the foremost colours are your present aura for which you can ascertain their meaning by comparing the colour codes above. As a point of interest, you may not want to totally disregard the colours that fell into the background while fixing the image of the incense stick, those are thought to be the colours of your aura from a previous life.
